Privacy Policy

Cleared (“we”, “us”) is a general-aviation flight dispatch app operated by Waisssoft. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Cleared app and website at clearedflight.com, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and authentication data (including Sign in with Apple, if you choose it).
• Pilot profile — license number, default aircraft type, tail number, and an optional profile photo from your photo library.
• Operational data — checklists, flight times, origin and destination airports, groups, and sharing with other Cleared users you choose.
• Communications — emails we send you (account setup, password reset, and checklist-related messages you trigger).
• Device permissions — photo library access (only if you pick a profile photo) and notifications (only if you enable reminders).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account, and to let you sign in.
• To provide dispatch, checklist, sharing, and reminder features.
• To send transactional email you request or that is required for the account.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the service, including diagnosing faults.

Storage and processors

Account and app data are stored with our hosting and database providers (including Vercel and Supabase). Transactional email is sent through our email provider. These parties process data only to provide their services to us.

Sharing

We share information only: (a) with other Cleared users when you share a checklist or add someone to a group; (b) with service providers listed above; (c) if required by law; or (d) with your direction.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active. You may update profile details in the app. You can permanently delete your account in the app: open your profile, choose Update details, then Delete account. This removes your profile, private checklists, groups, and sharing. You can disable notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.

Children

Cleared is intended for licensed pilots and aviation professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
